Villa Fenaroli Palace

July 2009

These are the steps, 186 of them, leading up what is described in the history as a backdrop for the Villa. What you see in the photo is about half the steps. These steps go up to a landing with a an entrance to a storage area and then continue up from there. Upon close examonation of the terrain and watering system, it was obvious to me that the steps coverred a series of terraces that were vineyards. On top as you will see is a moniment to Bacchus the pagan God of wine and good times. I immediately became fond of this branch of the Fenaroli's.
